Sadie's journal and Shari's pages arrived today (bundled together by the post office, no less!)
I just finished an All Hallow's Eve wedding page this morning. I've got ideas for Sadie's and Shari's, probably get them done tonight. Will post pictures of all three pages before I do a bundled mailing to Marie.
Three art journals I will mail to the United Kingdom today. I finished the last art journal I had. It's Loren's with Halloween in Wonderland as theme. There are very nice pages in this journal. Here I share with the page I created for Loren. I wonder how I could mix Halloween with Alice in Wonderland. I assumed Halloween in Wonderland must be a mix of Halloween and Alice in Wonderland. Love this theme as it is another challenge to be creative in a very broad way. Vivid colours can be used on both themes, but one can choose to do Alice in Wonderland in a vintage look. Loren's art journal has black pages, so I used a lot of white in addition to collages. I hope Loren enjoys this page.
Great things about a Round Robin is that someone's art journal passes you. You challenge the theme of your partner and share your page with others. I received Sadie's art journal a couple of weeks ago. The theme of Sadie's art journal is Haiku. So I will create an art journal page for Sadie in her Haiku art journal. Yes, I had to look up what Haiku was. Once heard of it, but I could not remember what it was. It is an interesting poetry style. I came up with several Haiku's and I share my best Haiku's with Sadie in her art journal.
Not much to babble today. Just two art journal pages based on the title of this post. 'Light through the cracks is the title of Ann's art journal. I have older post about the art journal round robin @ milliande. So I had to create a page in Ann's journal; it is a small book, so I created a double page. I like the title and I recognize it in my life. My Moleskine art journal was nearby and I did a page for myself. We have those days in our life and it is a relief if and when we see light coming through the cracks. Blessings to all of you^_^
Ok, I admit it. I can't do these posts right -- EVER! For some reason I could only get the second page of Beth's journal to display. So now here's page 1 -- I hope. Enjoy Beth. We'll get through this yet! xoxo, Sadie
Nope, it didn't load again. Beth, maybe you can post it for me? If I sit here all day it won't get to the PO before it closes!!!!!! Grrrrrrr!!!!!
I'm sure now that the image is too large, but have no idea how to resize it. So if someone could walk me through the steps I'll run this thing to the PO then come back and resize and hopefully post to this site. Whew! xoxo - Sadie
Beth, your pages are finally ready! I hope you like my interpretation. Unnfortunately, the pages did not scan very clearly. I will be off to the post office in a few minutes. Then surely by the week's end you should have your journal in your very own hands again. And it is indeed a fabulous journal. Peace, xoxo, Sadie
It has been a very long time since I received an art journal to work in. My art journal is back home. Together with my art journal I received Marie's. Here is my contribution to Marie's beautiful book. I love your theme. Marie, I hope you like it♥
Trine, I received my art journal. I want to thank all participants for adding nice pages to my art journal. It is a joy watching the pages. Thank you for the little gifts and I am looking forward to do my part in art journals yet to come.
Mary, I hope you like these pages I created for your Fairy Tales art journal. One is a classic, The Princess and the Pea, and the other. The Butterfly Princess, is one I made up. Enjoy! Peace, xoxo, Sadie
I enjoyed making this spread for Louise's journal. The only animal I could ever choose as a totem just has to be the dog. When I was young I was very scared of dogs but, when I actually had one of my own, everything changed. Since then I have always loved dogs and they speak to my heart so how could I not choose the dog. Anyway, here's the page spread I created. Hope Louise likes it!
This is what I came up with for Mary's journal... I was thinking princess and created the page ala "Teesha Moore" LOL ~ The quote reads "Once in awhile right in the middle of an ordinary Life, love gives us a Fairy Tale --anonymous. Hope you like it Mary!
