There was a loose sheet, so I simply tipped it in to the journal. The "front" of the tip-in has a forest scene at dusk; the "back" of the tip-in is the bottom half of the owl on a purple-dusky-night background. The owl was drawn and coloured separately before being glued over the two hinged sheets. The hinge is packing tape, so it should stand up to the journal's remaining journey.

Purple Owl Tree
My first entree in Rachel's art journal. A whimsical page. I do not feel to be too serious, so whimsical it is. I like this page very, very much. The second page will be uploaded today. So I did my part in Rachel's journal:-3

Louise's work in Rachels "Purple Owl Tree"
I have finished my work in Rachel's cute little journal and I loved her theme- Purple Owl Tree.
I chose to do 2 pages.
For the one above I used mainly my favourite pen of all time a uni pin fine line in various sizes
and a little bit of caran d'ache neocolor 11
It this page my fabulous little boy Mr8 played with me and we used Derwent Inktense pencils, some gesso and Mr8's fun contribution of some little brads to be the owls.
